The module discusses the 5 R’s principle (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot) as a guide to sustainable consumption and waste management. It explores ways to refuse single-use plastics, reduce plastic consumption, and promote reuse to extend the life of products. Additionally, the module delves into the different types of plastics, their recyclability, and the need for responsible plastic recycling.
In this section we also make available PowerPoint Presentations, one per RESCUE training module. Each presentation includes theory, recommendations from the authors, some practical tasks, references, and additional learning resources.
All module activities, those included as practical sessions within the e-learning, are also available to download to the desktop.
