• Being able to explain what the 5 Rs (refusing, reducing, reusing, recycling, and rotting) of plastics entails
• Critically analyzing “new solutions” such as bioplastics
• Being ready and willing to reflect on own plastic consumption
• Being able to provide arguments on why avoiding and reducing plastics, using better plastic materials, and improving the recycling of plastics are important strategies to be implemented at societal as well as the individual level
