Description of the Green Initiative
Consumers, individuals of all ages
The mission is to be a sustainable alternative for everyday consumption. To initiate small changes in the everyday life of customers. But also, to make global companies think and act differently.
The association believes that plastic madness can only be stopped by finding sustainable solutions. With Original Unverpackt, they launched the first supermarket in Berlin in 2014 that does completely without disposable packaging.
As the first zero waste shop in Germany, Original Unverpackt is a pioneer for sustainable consumption. Since 2016, Original Unverpackt has also been shipping non-food products related to the zero-waste lifestyle in an online shop to all those who do not live around the corner from Original Unverpackt.
Besides the day-to-day business of the zero-waste shop, an online course for company founders in retail to open their own sustainable shop, the founder, Milena Glimbovski, regularly holds lectures in retail around the topics of sustainability and trends in retail, zero waste and entrepreneurship.
The founder of Original Unverpackt, Milena Glimbovski, offers a detailed step-by-step training in an online course on how anyone looking for purposeful business can start their own zero-waste shop. By doing so, the idea and the business model shall spread further.
