Objectives

Plastic Free’s main objective is to get rid of the plastic invading and devasting our seas, rivers, ecosystems and our health. Furthermore, Plastic Free aims at reaching all over the world to spread civic engagement to preserve our planet for the future generations. Plastic Free wants to become the benchmark in the fight against plastic pollution and environmental protection.


Description

The impact of plastic on animals, environment and human beings has pushed Plastic Free to act: Plastic Free harness the power of social media for the awareness campaigns, they go to schools to talk to students to raise awareness on plastic pollution, they make cooperation agreements with institutions to facilitate activities, they support turtle recovery centers, they roll up their sleeves to clean and reclaim beaches, forests, parks.


Impact

Plastic Free has so far removed from the environment 3.239.819 Kg of plastic and waste; has organized 4.456 clean up events; has saved 178 marine turtles and accompanied 1.157 turtles at birth; has trained on plastic 170.238 students; has reached 2.024 schools; has involved 250.000 volunteers. Plastic Free aims at removing from the environment 2.5 tons of plastic and waste (thus reaching a total of 4 million kg) and hold over 2.500 clean up activities during 2023.
